Things I Love Lately.

I wanted to share a couple things I've been loving lately...

I have not had a young coconut in way too long. Last week I had a little bit of a headache at work and one of my sweet friends brought me this. It totally helped!
I'm trying something new. Lately, I suck at eating veggies so I decided to wash, cut and place them in a convenient spot in the fridge. Hopefully this will make eating veggies easier. I will report back and if it's successful then I'll add some more variety.

I just download this app with awesome workouts and activity tracking. It is loaded with quick and effective workouts. Free on iPhone!
Started using my FitBit again. It's a great way for me to check on my daily activity levels.
I've been trying to read one sutra a day. Deep reading but truly inspiring.

Eric's 20Eighth Birthday

It's been a little while but I need to document this...
I made Eric's favorite pudding cake and put 10 candles on it... ?
Don't ask why he is wearing a robe here.

Playing our favorite game with friends... can you guess what it is?
I love surprising people so Eric's birthday is always a great time for me to do this.
This year's big surprise was a weekend getaway to Las Vegas. I booked us a room in the Rio Resort in September and had the hardest time keeping it a secret for two months!
(I got some of these pictures from my friends Courtney and Olivia)
For some reason the video I have isn't uploading so I'll just have to tell you...
As a bonus surprise for the birthday weekend our friends joined us the first night as we got to our hotel. They followed us to our room and when Eric went to use the restroom I let them into our room and when he came out they all tackled him. He had no idea what was going on so it kind of freaked him out and thought somebody was attacking him in our room, haha. He loved the surprise though and was excited to see them.
After joining up with friends we headed to Grimaldi's -- a group favorite. We all love this place and always go together on our trips to Vegas. We went twice on this trip for the bday boy.

Eric and a resort worker named Eric. :) + enjoying his favorite meal at his favorite restaurant.
The whole gang at Caneletto Restaurant in the Venetian -- go there!
Another favorite restaurant of Eric's is Hash House a Go Go. We stopped there on the way out of Vegas. The portion sizes are huge so Kiarra and I shared 1 single mango coconut pancake, yum!
We love sleeping pics.

A big thanks to all our friends who came to Vegas and made this trip so much fun!

Halloween with Thor and Spider Girl

We had a great Halloween this year! I started the day off a way I always regret... NOT working out in the morning. BIG thumbs down! Both Eric and I celebrated a little at work with a pot luck for customers and employees at Real Foods and a pizza party at Silhouette America (Eric's job).
I made Sue dress up for work :) Cutest. Minnie. Ever!
After work we did the traditional out to dinner with our friends and then off to our place to watch scary movies and the always favorite Nightmare Before Christmas. I know some of you probably think that movie is creepy. I used to as well, but then I gave it another chance and totally loved it. You gotta watch it on Halloween. Although, I'm not going to deny that the Mayor that can flip his head around seriously freaks me out. I really don't recommend that movie to kids under the age of 18. :) ANYWAY...
Before we went to our house we stopped at a park and Eric, or should I say, Thor, graced us with his rendition of a scary murder story. If you know Eric then you can just imagine how that went down. He used a flashlight and made us close our eyes and everything. Oh, and then he made us run away from him like he was a murderer coming after us. I sure love my entertaining husband.
Thor chasing us... so freaky, I did not like this.
Scary friends with scary eyes.
I ate a big handful of my favorite naughty candy ever: Sour Patch Kids and went to bed way too late... not sure it was worth it because I felt like crap all day Friday, but we had a great time!

Btw - Sister Salcido wanted me to tell everyone Happy Halloween!

Tell me your favorite candy?

What did you do for Halloween?

What is your favorite scary movie?

Things That Make Me Happy

This guy:
Eric is the best! I'm amazed everyday with the amount of patience he has with me. Plus, he makes me laugh.. A lot. Such a babe.

Sisters:
I'm obsessed with these girls. They completely understand me. They know all my imperfections and love me lots anyway.
I can't forget all these ladies either. I've always been so close to my cousins. They're like sisters to me.

Good friends:

I've said it before and I'll say it again. Eric and I have the coolest friends! I love all of them (many not pictured), they are like family and we have so much fun together!
I also love the friends I work with. They are so awesome! They were such good sports when I had them do Zumba at a team work party. I learn so much from each and every one of them.

Good food (that somebody makes for me):
I had these fabulous CLEAN chicken enchiladas in our new Real Foods Market in Salt Lake City and they were pretty much brilliant. I love food but I really don't like making it myself. When somebody makes me food (healthy food especially), that is guaranteed to put a smile on my face.

Finishing a workout:
Whether it's finishing a long run or laying down in savasana after a good yoga class. The world seems to always be a better place and I'm able to better accept myself and be happy where I am in life.

Finishing a big race is pretty cool too!

Oh and a kombucha of course! I drank this baby last week when I had a tummy ache and it settled it within minutes. Also, french macarons... sea salted caramel might be my favorite flavor... Yummmmy!

Have a great Wednesday!

Happy Fitnessing!

Tell me something that makes you happy?

Have you tried a french macaron?

Have you tried kombucha? You should, or maybe we shouldn't be friends;)...

What are your weekend plans?
