I'm still alive and working out... well 3 or 4 times a week, you know, when it's convenient. I've just been enjoying the holiday season with family (including a new niece and nephew, yay!). I'll be back to blogging soon as I prep for some fun new challenges in the coming year!
Stay tuned...

Ice Skating & My Fitness Status
When planning a team activity for my coworkers I always want to do something active. Last time it was Zumba, this time it was ice skating! I loved all the Christmas lights and music at the Gallivan Center in Salt Lake City. The rink was small but the fun was big! We practiced our tricks, danced on the ice and watched a couple get engaged. It was a great way to kick off the holiday season.
In Chelsea fitness news... My left IT band is still bugging me, I've been treating it like ITBS and have been running very little this past month but I'm really not seeing any improvement. I think I need to do some more research on how I can heal it quicker because it is hindering my yoga practice and this is my favorite time of the year to practice yoga.
I went to a pump class AND Zumba class on Thanksgiving and it was so wonderful, especially before eating all that yummy stuffing at Tucanos--yes, we went to a restaurant for Thanksgiving and it was actually really fun and yummy!

Eric's 20Eighth Birthday
It's been a little while but I need to document this...
I made Eric's favorite pudding cake and put 10 candles on it... ?
Don't ask why he is wearing a robe here.
Playing our favorite game with friends... can you guess what it is?
I love surprising people so Eric's birthday is always a great time for me to do this.
This year's big surprise was a weekend getaway to Las Vegas. I booked us a room in the Rio Resort in September and had the hardest time keeping it a secret for two months!
(I got some of these pictures from my friends Courtney and Olivia)
For some reason the video I have isn't uploading so I'll just have to tell you...
As a bonus surprise for the birthday weekend our friends joined us the first night as we got to our hotel. They followed us to our room and when Eric went to use the restroom I let them into our room and when he came out they all tackled him. He had no idea what was going on so it kind of freaked him out and thought somebody was attacking him in our room, haha. He loved the surprise though and was excited to see them.
After joining up with friends we headed to Grimaldi's -- a group favorite. We all love this place and always go together on our trips to Vegas. We went twice on this trip for the bday boy.
The whole gang at Caneletto Restaurant in the Venetian -- go there!
Another favorite restaurant of Eric's is Hash House a Go Go. We stopped there on the way out of Vegas. The portion sizes are huge so Kiarra and I shared 1 single mango coconut pancake, yum!
We love sleeping pics.
A big thanks to all our friends who came to Vegas and made this trip so much fun!

Scenes from Recent Workouts, Food and Other Randoms.
Outside running in the fall is the best!
Been hitting the gym early the past couple weeks and I'm loving it! It makes my whole day better.
This past Saturday may have been my last run in the canyon with pretty leaves. They're falling fast:(
Our friends invited Eric and I over last week for an amazing lamb feast! It was so wonderful!
The party really got started when I busted out the raw milk
People make me great food. I think it's cause I just send it into the universe that I would like people to make me food, but mostly it's because I just ask them to make me food. Eric raked our neighbors leaves and she brought us chicken tamales, thanks Eric, and thanks Manuela! Larissa made us chicken chili and cornbread last week and fajitas this week! She rocks. Eric did make her & Jason chicken enchiladas last night. Yay for a husband that cooks!
Side note: Larissa and I decided that it's just as hard cooking for 4 as it is for 2 so we've been switching off cooking for each other... well I guess Larissa and Eric have been doing the switching. :)
Random picture of me at my friends house last weekend. I wanted to remember this comfy outfit I wore that night. Cozy warm tights with a t-shirt dress, leather jacket and boots. Once again Eric made dinner, parmesan chicken peas and brown rice with avocados and Cholula.. mm!
After a long day of work last week my coworker gave me the lemon tart from a gourmet bakery he had visited that day. Thanks Ryan! It made all my lemon tarty dreams come true.
