Freedom 10k

This week I ran the Freedom Run 10k with my sister Shenelle on the 4th of July. We have been running a lot together but haven't ever done a race. We took it nice and easy and finished in 1:03. I started to get a little competitive with some of the other runners and tried to pass certain target racers but really all I wanted to do was cross the finish line hand in hand with my sister and that is exactly what we did!

A little nervous and tired at 6am before the race.

We did it!

Celebrated by watching the parade.

We have now found a new tradition!
