Beat It!

I beat my time!

Ran the Timpanogos half marathon yesterday. Despite the long stretch where I could see 2 miles ahead (that seemed like they were never going to end), it was a beautiful course. Finished in 1:57. That's a total of 6 minutes carved off my first half. Feels good. My legs don't feel that great though. I couldn't use the stairs at church today. Ouch. I'm glad it's my legs that are sore instead of my arms. I guess it's just a nice change. Eric and his parents were there to support me at the finish line. One of the best feelings I've ever experienced is crossing the finish line after pushing myself for 2 hours straight and seeing my family there to greet me. Awesome!

I'm going to be taking a little break from running. I don't think I'll be running this week at all. I really just want to focus on my teacher training. Maybe I'll take up walking for the next couple weeks. :) After that I think I will just be running for more recreational purposes for a while I focus more on my yoga practice.

Thanks for reading!
