Life has been a little out of control lately and last weekend was totes cray with work. I was in the height of a store remodel and worked 25+ hours between Friday and Saturday. It was a fun but intense project and I'm still trying to get above water. I've been feeling yucky because my eating habits have swayed a bit during this rough time. For example Friday and Saturday I pretty much ate nothing and so because of that, Sunday I ate anything I could get my hands on... including LOTS of sugar and simple carbs. I know when I don't eat normal it throws everything in my body off and I don't have time to get sick.
This Tuesday Tip I'm asking for help from you reading this... during times of overwhelming stress what are your best secrets to staying happy and healthy? I'd really like to hear from YOU. I need motivation!
XOXO
P.S. I did finally get to go to a yoga class last night which was W O N D E R F U L ! I can't believe I went an entire 3 weeks without getting a full practice in. That is the longest yoga drought I've had these past 2 years! OM SHANTI
Happy Fitnessing!

ReplyDeleteSorry, first post went weird!!
ReplyDeleteWhen I KNOW I am going to be busy for a few days, I take an hour or two and prepare meals & snacks that are easy to grab and/or heat up! It makes life SO much easier and you feel a little bit better about not stuffing your face with a hamburger on the way to where you're going {guilty a few times of this}.
Also, to maintain a "cool head" I try to take some me time: whatever that may be. Bath, nap, quick work out, reading, whatever! It helps to keep me sane haha.
You are amazing! Good luck with everything and if you need anything let me know!!

I just went grocery shopping and Sunday this will be my mission! Prepare meals and snacks for on the go! Thanks Court!
DeleteI try to only have healthy food in my house, if not, I eat crap. For example, we bought a bag of Starburst Jellybeans last week and they were gone in two days. ha I also take a snack(like nuts and dried fruit), and a piece of fruit pretty much everywhere I go. I even did this when I wasn't pregnant. That way if I get hungry, I have some healthy snacks. Whenever I need to pack a quick lunch, I always go for my trusty pb and honey.-wheat bread, natural peanut butter, and honey. There are always fast food options, worst case scenario. You can pretty much find something reasonably healthy at most fast food places that are quite inexpensive. Anyways, i'm no expert, but that is what keeps me healthy in times of stress. The commenter above had a good tip too-take some me time! Yoga is perfect for that. Hope your next time of stress is better!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the tips! I'm totally going to start keeping some kind of fruit or veggie with me at all times. Such a great idea!
